Denise: I spent the day today with Jenny. Some friends in life you can see face to face too rarely but share a day with and enjoy relaxed conversation, drinking coffee and sharing stories as though you saw them regularly. Jenny trained over from Cheltenham to Cardiff today for our catch up day. She'd taken the day off work so we could add another day to our time together this visit. We spent some wonderful days with her and Kieron 4 wks ago at their home and they kindly shared family, Tewksbury, The Cotswolds and other beautiful times and places with us. This time though it was girl only time.
All I need to say is we talked and walked and coffeed and looked at things in stores until our time ran out too soon and sadly I hugged her goodbye again..... until next time. We parted having exchanged gifts, our birthday gift for her and she gave us a painting done by her mum....beautiful of the Cotswolds and home made rhubarb crumble for after our dinner tonight...yum.
Our friendship has been long and endured many stages of each others lives via letters, aerograms, cards, emails and texts and it's a friendship I treasure. £10 put her and Rob in my country as children so our paths could cross and add such value to my life. Thank goodness.
Rob: I spent the day at a Conference at the Wales Millenium Centre. The people were nice, Some of the posters were good, the lectures were ok but nothing staggeringy new really. Food and coffee was good ...always important
